FOR SHAME! You really aren't missing too much, and The Name of the Wind is WAAAY better. Glad you liked the book, and glad you liked my review. The Wise Man's Fear should be an awesome book too.Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14261179296556524707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2607140674304959729.post-62969250768808510612011-03-06T19:32:33.053-08:002011-03-06T19:32:33.053-08:00I recently finished reading 'The Name of the W...I recently finished reading 'The Name of the Wind' also and I agree I wish I would have read it sooner. It's pretty fantastic. I usually try to avoid the novels with so much crazy hype but this one was worth my time. Great job on the review! I'm on board with most of your points but I actually liked everything revolving around the University. It's very rare to find higher education and a thirst for knowledge in fantasy. But maybe I feel this way because I never read Harry Potter (shh, don't tell anyone :) )Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00940897149982228306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2607140674304959729.post-10242761909704448852011-03-02T21:10:09.536-08:002011-03-02T21:10:09.536-08:00That's a good idea, I may join you in that. Not very often in my opinion, but TNotW actually did, and delivered a few surprises too. I'll probably save Wise Man's Fear for some time later in the year when I'm in need of book that is sure to be awesome.Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14261179296556524707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2607140674304959729.post-65921887728442212692011-03-02T11:42:27.148-08:002011-03-02T11:42:27.148-08:00Great review. Almost like it didn't need to be there, but I'll keep hoping that it was important and will just apply later. :)

My 5/5 rating was pretty much solely based on 1. How much I looked forward to reading it and 2. How much fun I had reading while I was reading. Both present even until the end.Bryce L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13951278240008332023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2607140674304959729.post-23315930139758979272011-03-02T07:20:48.193-08:002011-03-02T07:20:48.193-08:00I agree, pretty awesome book.
